Alright im sure this question comes up a bunch so take it easy one me. Its been a few years since I have hunted Montana. Last time I hunted I was up in the North east of state hunting my wifes family ranch.

But I been doing some thinking of hunting region 5 .

I been looking Montana game and fish site on info and wow, just seems a little unorganized to get a clear answer.

So is my option to apply for the non-resident deer for general then hunt region 5 from oct.26 to dec 1st

Or can I apply for just that region?

Im a Wyoming resident and im use to either apply for a specific area or going general and checking the dates/rules for that specific area which is something I don't see on Montana or maybe im just over looking.

Yes, apply for a general deer combination license and if successful you can hunt any district that is open for general deer hunting in the state. Whether it be region 5, 6, 7, or whatever. You can not however hunt the limited quota districts within a region I.e. district 530 within region 5.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-04-19 AT 02:37PM (MST)[p]Thank you. I finally found where it broke every region/area
