I've went through several pounds of BP, Pyrodex, and even Clean Shot but I've never counted how many shots I'm getting per pound. Partly because I shoot different rifles and pistol loads. I did a real rough calculation and came up with about 90 rounds per pound out of my rifles. I based this strictly on weight which might be the wrong thing to do, not to mention 90 rounds seems like more shots than I'm getting out of a pound.
So how many rounds can you expect to get out of a pound of BP shooting 75 to 90 grain loads? Not looking for exact answers just a ball park figure.
Thanks.
