I was not a lion hunter until thanksgiving 2016!

I spotted this a old male lion at 642 yards while deer hunting in Idaho (your are able to use your NR deer tag on a lion or a bear). I decided to try a shot!

I have also been putting in for lions in Utah for 13 years and finally drew. After the snow ended on Tuesday some great friends showed me how to tree a large Tom.

Two big Toms in six days! Crazy!

Nice! how big was that skull on that cat from Idaho? looks big.

I guess my next lion tag will be my Idaho deer tag next year, planning on a little venison though. I still have to clean up both skulls I think they will both be just under 15" Idaho cat was 7' and the Utah cat was 7'6" nose to tail.
