I spotted this a old male lion at 642 yards while deer hunting in Idaho (your are able to use your NR deer tag on a lion or a bear). I decided to try a shot!

I have also been putting in for lions in Utah for 13 years and finally drew. After the snow ended on Tuesday some great friends showed me how to tree a large Tom.

Two big Toms in six days! Crazy!

Better get up there!!!

Wow, once in a lifetime feat I'd wager... Congrats..!!

Hell yeah!! You should get a free tag next year for using it on a cat if you ask me. Kill em all. Congrats!!

I guess my next lion tag will be my Idaho deer tag next year, planning on a little venison though. I still have to clean up both skulls I think they will both be just under 15" Idaho cat was 7' and the Utah cat was 7'6" nose to tail.

Nice work. You should get a whole pocket full of free tags from each state for all the deer and elk you just saved.

Nicely done! Those are both big cats!

Impressive to get a cat without dogs. That is a cool thing that ID does for NR.

that is awesome! I think getting one is awesome but two and one without dogs, dang tough to beat that :D
