Saw this guy the first day.

One of the canyons we were hunting. Chased a herd in here for three days but couldn't ever get things right.

Saw these three little bucks on the way to an evening hunt.

We had a great time as usual although not a lot of cooperation from the Elk. Oh well

sounds like a good hunt with some nice views, our idaho hunt started with a spike taken as well going back up tomorrow hope to get something a little bigger. good luck to ya

How big and where are the fires around Challis? My Dad and I are going to hunt unit 28 with rifles in a month. We'll be somewhere around the Panther Creek area, although I know that's a huge area. Congrats to your friend on his first bow elk. I'm trying for mine right now in Washington.

Not exactly sure where the fires are. we could see the smoke was over by Challis. The big herds were vocal but the bulls were silent. Good luck
