Inexpensive DIY whitetail???

A couple hunters from Utah are looking for an opportunity to hunt whitetail. I have hunted in Northern Wyoming but the ranch we hunted has been sold. Does anyone have some ideas for us? Idaho, Montana, South Dakoda or Wyoming? Any information will be appreciated.

Blackhills in South Dakota....

Dillon Montana or any riverbottom land in Montana....

Panhandle of Idaho....

Are these areas public land? What would we expect to pay in trespass fees?

Idaho sold out the last of their deer tags last week.

I am doing some legwork for a hunt for next year. Is there some good areas that can be accessed over the counter, or do the states require a drawing?

Montana,S.Dakota,Wyoming are all draws

Idaho has a OTC first come first serve type deal for the panhandle and The Clearwater area

The Blackhills NF in SD is a public area

Montana has a real good "Walk in access" type deal the call it a BMA "Block Managment Area" as most of the riverbottoms are private but it is real easy to get permission.
