Jim Zumbo's Elk Tag...

Arizona allows for the transfer of a permit from an adult hunter to a youth hunter. Wouldn't it be neat if Jim Zumbo could transfer his Unit 10 permit to a youngster in AZ whose father or mother is serving in our Armed Forces and will not be home this Fall to take their kid elk hunting? Maybe Zumbo could accompany the youth hunter on the hunt and perhaps one of Arizona's outfitters could set up a camp and guide the hunt? If they could pull it off, I'll be the first to donate $100 towards the guide's fee.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-30-04 AT 08:55AM (MST)[p]I've already aproached AZFGD with this exact idea after talking with Jim. Our problem is, the law reads that he can only donate it to a child from the age of 10 to 17 who is your own child or you are their legal gaurdian. Jim has no children this age and if he did, he would rather transfer it to someone in need. Game and Fish tells me this is a law passed by the Legislature, so it looks as though it can't happen.
