Kamas Deer

I just had a friend move to Kamas Ut, Unfortuantly he doesnt know anything about hunting... he wanted me to come visit, and I thought about doing it during next years Archery deer hunt... Since I have never been there and I wont have much time to scout... I was just looking for an Idea of what to look for or even what to expect..

any help would be great.

Don't expect to be alone if you plan on hunting that area. That said there are bucks around. During archery season hunt high as that is where the bucks will be. Try Wolf Creek Pass, Hoyt Peak or some spots off the Mill Hollow Road. If you are seeing a lot of does head elsewhere the bucks usually hang out together and at a higher elevation in August. Tell your friend to make friends with some of the landowners in the area. You might have an easy hunt on private land sitting by an alfalfa field.
