I have two Kimbers. Although I don't have a 8400 yet. My .243 84M shoots MOA with just about anything. I've shot 1/2 MOA 3 shot groups with handloads but the fourth and fifth shot start to move out to 3/4-1 MOA. The sporter barrel is most likely the issue there. My Longmaster is a 1/2 minute rifle plain and simple. I love wood stocks and Kimber does wood right. Pillar bedding, free floated and pretty wood.
I think you'll have some fun with that 270WSM. Thats the rifle I've recommended to my brother.
