Any tips on removing this galvanized split?
Not a lot of working room but put some pressure on with a pipe wrench and nothing.
Heat or lubrication next?

Heat the female side to expand and unscrew. Try not to heat the male end

You guys are funny. Cut that crap out and re-plumb it. There's this thingy called a continuous waste, ties a 2 bay sink together so you only have to have 1 trap.

Get a 24 inch pipe wrench on her and use some muscle ! If that doesn't do it. Cut one line in the fitting at the thread with a Dremel and a metal blade. That will loosen it and unthreaded it and remove.
