Interesting that the moose counts are lower because of the lower snow totals.. but not surprising and they addressed that in the article.

It is interesting. I know the one area they flew. I talked to the biologist, and where he reported seeing only 2 moose, the next week I saw 6. He said they only saw 2 bulls in the creek bottom. When I called coyotes on that creek bottom from my stand location I was able to see 6. 2 bulls, 2 cows and 2 yearling.

That evening the same spot only had the 2 bulls the cows and yearlings were about 200 yards up and in the timber.
