Amy, is there a place we can find out where the lifetime license holders chose their tags last year? Can you tell us what was decided on the lifetime tags for the general season units at yesterdays meeting? Thanks

Sorry for the delay in responding, bragabit. I wanted to confirm a few things here in the office before replying. Last year, the lifetime license holders selected their units during the Big Game application period (when they completed their annual online questionnaires). If the lifetime license holder didn't complete the questionnaire (and select a unit), he or she didn't automatically receive a permit. The only option at that point was for the LL holder to obtain a remaining license over the counter when they went on sale to the general public.

There weren't too many changes at last Thursday's Wildlife Board meeting. Here's how the program will work in 2013.
[ul]
[li] In 2013, LL holders will need to complete the online lifetime license questionnaire to select/change their unit. The questionnaire will be located in the 2013 big game application (open between Feb. 1 and March 4, 2013).[/li]

[li] If the LL holder does not complete the lifetime license questionnaire by March 4, 2013, he or she will automatically receive a permit for the unit selected in 2012.[/li]

[li] If the LL holder did not select a unit in 2012, and does not complete the lifetime license questionnaire in the 2013 big game application, he or she will have to obtain a remaining permit over the counter when they go on sale to the public.[/li]
[/ul]

I hope this answers your questions. Also, the audio of the Dec. 6 Wildlife Board meeting is now online if you'd like to listen to the presentations/discussion.

Amy, thank you for replying back. As a Lifetime License holder that is good news, that they are not planning any drastic changes. Do they have a place to see how many lifetime license holder chose each unit?

I don't believe we have that posted anywhere right now, but I could probably track down the numbers if there's a particular unit or two you're interested in.
