I purchased a Remington Model 7 in 7mm-08 synthetic used and am working on making it a pronghorn/sheep(if I ever get a tag) rifle. Can anyone suggest a quality scope that will be lite but still durable? Also what about power, I was thinking of a hi power for antelope, would this be a hindrance for sheep. My price range is about $300-500. Thanks

leupold makes a nice little 3-9x33 compact. it's light, durable and in your price range. i wouldn't worry about the power. it's nice to have a big number at the end, but realistically you don't need anything more than 9x.

Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 at $429.99 through Cabela's right now. Bought mine back in Jan. when they were $399.95. Very good quality scope.
