More CA hogs

Last weekend's results near King City, CA. Two killed with a 30-06 and one with a .270. Range 60 yards to 230 yards. All were ambushed either coming from or going to barley. All 3 are sows about 120-130 lbs.

Do you eat those pigs?
a budy of mine said down in mississippi they shoot them, then through them in a big pit and coverthem up.
said the big old boars stink so bad you smell them long before you hear or see them.
what does it taste like?
like chicken?
and do you prefer to shoot little ones?

Yup we eat them. I usually eat several a year. The meat is awesome. I guess like anything else a large parte of the taste depends on what the animal eats. These eat primarily barley and wild oats. Even the big boars taste just fine, fine but maybe a bit tough.
