Like we need more proof. Yes the new York Times is in the tank for Obama. They would not print McCains oped yet they did print Obama's.

The media has gone off the deep end for Obama. This is insane. They going on a world tour with obama sending their news anchors and now McCain can not even get an opinion piece published.

If this is not blatant disregard for journalistic principles of I don't know what is.

piper, do you have any clue what the media's role is supposed to be? Are they supposed to pick sides, root for one candidate over another? Or, are they supposed to stay NEUTRAL? If you can't see the blatant unprofessional behavior of the media in this instance AND in the coverage of Obama's little circus show going on right now, then you are either an smuck(which I don't believe to be the case), or someone so far to the left you can't see anything but the left.

Limbaugh is a one man show, it is nothing like a major newspaper like the NYT, New York is more liberal than Idaho so what, if you want to hear conservtave bias go read the Elko daily free press or a hundred papers, at least all major papers print different view points on issues, quit whining

Piper is correct. You can not compare the two. First of all Rush is not in the news reporting business. He is in the entertainment business. His show is soley for entertainment. He is openly biased in his OPINIONS! Everyone knows this up front. The NYT on the other hand is in the news reporting business. Being in that business comes with a responsability to be objective/nuetral. They are moraly obligated to report facts with out bias. The problem is with the NYT is they have no moral compas and feel they have no responsability to its readers. They feel their elitest views should be cramed into each and every article. In short the NYT is a freaking JOKE! What they need to do is just come out with it and state plainly for all to see and rename their paper the Liberal NYT.

piper, who is whining? I just pointed out the fact that the NYT is as much a homer for the left as Rush is a homer for the right. Why are you "whining" about me pointing out something so obvious? Does it threaten your purple-hazed view of the world? The NYT's attempt to cloak its liberalism as "news" does not make the NYT any more credible than Rush openly spouting his conservatism through entertainment. And quite frankly, Rush is being much more open and honest about who and what he is.
