Mountain goats on the La Sals
Comments accepted at April 30 open house
MOAB ? Biologists with the Division of Wildlife Resources are considering releasing mountain goats on the La Sal Mountains in southeastern Utah.

But before they do, they want your input. If you'd like to share your opinions, plan on attending an open house in Moab on April 30.
The open house will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Grand Center, 182 N. 500 W. Light refreshments will be served.
At the open house, you can visit with DWR biologists. Any opinion, concern or comment you have will be posted at the open house and recorded for future reference. You can arrive and leave anytime during the two-hour block.

Mountain goats
Rocky Mountain goats are identified by their white, woolly coat and black horns. They stand just over three feet tall at the shoulder and weigh between 100 and 200 pounds. Mountain goats typically live in the highest elevations in the mountain range in which they live. These high elevations have plenty of lichens, mosses, grasses and herbs for the goats to eat.
