Hi all, first time poster, first NV mule deer tag draw! Drew the Sept 10-Oct 4 muzzleloader tag. I'm not familiar with this unit, so I'd appreciate any feedback on experiences anyone has had in it, general advice on the unit, or thoughts on where to start my scouting efforts. It's been a while since I was in there (2007), but I hunted the early rifle there a couple of times. I backpacked up into the Arc Dome Wilderness, in the area around Tom's Canyon and Peavine Canyon. There are good horse trails up into those areas, coming in from the south. There were plenty of bucks back then (saw about 20/day), but tough to find anything with any size. Most of the bucks were up above 9000 feet at that time of year. Good luck, and let me know how you do.
