Hi guys,
I've decided to hunt Idaho for the first time this year. I've hunted CO, WY, MT and UT successfully without a guide so I'm not looking for a honey hole, just a general region or unit. My main focus will be general tag mule deer but I'd like to hunt an area that will give a reasonable opportunity to see a bear or two as well. I plan on buying a bear tag so I wouldn't have to burn my buck tag if I see a good bear. Since I am driving from Missouri I would prefer to hunt the eastern half of the state as far north as the Salmon area. I would also prefer areas where I can glass a lot of semi-open open country from hill tops. Any advice would be appreciated. I can't wait October and the opportunity to hunt new country!
Thanks,
Sam

The critters have to win every time. I only have to win once.
