LAST EDITED ON May-01-10 AT 01:18PM (MST)[p]It is a washington muley from september. Probably one of my favorite muley mounts I have done for a stock pose. Anyway, enjoy the pics.

Looks great! I really like how the hair comes up over the base of the antlers. I have a mount that has a little bit of space between the base and the hair line. Drives me nuts!

That buck was just rescently out of velvet so he hadnt rubbed the hair down around the bases yet.

Your mounts look good. I'm not a taxi and have a question. It
looks like you tucked the lower lip all the way in. Some muley mounts I've looked at from various taxi's will leave about 1 - 1 1/2 inches of lower lip showing, while others don't. Is it just a preference?

Muleys generally don't show as much lip as a whitetail, if any. Most mounts (regardless of species) show too much lip.

Thanks for answering 4000fps, that is why I usually tuck mulie and blacktail lips. Sometimes I will leave them showing a bit but usually not much.

What a great mount! That one of the best muledeer mounts i have ever seen! I mean it Im not just saying that. Again Great job!!!
