Actually began in 2016 when a friend of mine drew a sheep tag. He scouted hard and hunted with his traditional bow but came up empty, although having some opportunities that didn't work out. After returning from an archery elk hunt in Nevada, I joined him for the rifle hunt. His rams had all disappeared! We checked out several different spots for sheep. The second day I was there, I spotted a band of 6 rams, and my buddy was able to take a fine ram out of the bunch. After he killed his ram, the rest of the bunch hung around while we totally skinned him for a full body mount and quartered him, etc.

Interestingly, my friend drew this tag being 1 point shy of max. I was also one point shy, having missed the 2008 application for some reason( I had bought a new house and had several issues with the sale of my old house so I carried 2 mortgages for around 4 months and must have just slipped my mind!). Hmmm...maybe I can draw this tag??!!
