Fast forward to 2019. I applied in 2017 and 2018, but struck out. Finally I was successful after 30+ years of applying for a sheep tag! My buddy from the 2016 hunt and I headed to the unit for a scouting trip in June. Right after we arrived to out glassing spot, we immediately glassed a band of 11 rams; one a shooter! Maybe not a giant, but a good solid ram! One I would be thrilled to put my tag on! We continued to look for more rams, but the day was pretty much over with after we found a nice mudhole. After several hours of slopping around in the mud like pigs, we finally were able to summon some help to pull us out.
