My last 2 weeks

I have had a busy two weeks. I had my Privat Land Only 2C deer hunt, and my Texas Whitetail hunt. My 2C hunt was alot of fun, i went in hoping to shoot a 160-170 type deer. We saw a ton of deer and a little bit of rutting activity. My buck scores 164. What made the hunt special was getting to spend some time with my dad and my close friends.

On to Texas, my close friend and I hunted a ranch close to Seymour, Texas. We shot 22 hogs and 4 deer between the 2 of us. It was a blast. The deer were just starting to rut. Both of our bucks are in the 130's. We saw one bigger buck probably about 150-160 with a 3 inch dropper.

Where did you hunt in Texas? Private ranch? That sounds like quite a place. I've really wanted to go there for a hog hunt, but haven't found the best place yet that wasn't really expensive. Did you guys really kill 22 hogs?

Congradulations Wes, you had a lot better luck than me. We couln't find anything big enough in NM or Texas. Hopefully I will be able to go back down to Texas latter but I don't know.

thats great congrats on all the animals, this ranch in taxas how much was everything??? I haven't drawn a tag in 2 years and if I don't draw next year texas is on my list. so some info would be greatly appreciated,thanks

What up Glenda, what have you been up 2? No little ones? Where did you hunt in NM? Texas is alot of fun, its a change from the hunting we are used to here in NM. Its a little tough sitting in a blind when you aren't used to it. But it really is the best way to hunt in most areas. Good luck if you go back to Texas. We should try to get a sheep hunt going for the old college clan this February.
