need a tripod

if anyone knows a good deal on a tripod, i need one! had a swarovski pistol grip, but it broke last season and cant find another to replace it. wondering what you guys recommend. really would like the pistol grip version, but what brand?

I just bought one from Cabelas. It's called their Compact tripod & had a pistol grip. It's heavier than my SLiK, but is very sturdy. Cost was $199.

Get your self a Slik Carbon Fiber 713 Pro and a Bogen 3160 Fluid head. You can't beat this combination. You'll find the best price on the Slik tripod from B&H photo (Google them for website). The only place to get the Bogen 3160 will be ebay since they don't make this head any more. The tripod runs $249.00 (cheap for carbon fiber)and you'll probably pick up the head on ebay for around $45.00. You won't be disapointed
