Need Compound Bow Advice

Find a reputable archery shop in your area and shoot some of the bows to see what fits and feels best to you. All of the top tier bow manufacturers (Hoyt, Mathews, Prime, etc.) make great bows that will get the job done.

I use a Mathews Triax and it's a shooter for sure. Short axle-to-axle so it's great for maneuvering around the sagebrush here in the desert. But I second the suggestion to visit a Pro shop and try as many models as possible until you find one that fits you well.

It's an amazing time for compound bows. So much development and advancements in technology. The bow is one thing - then there's rests, sights, releases, stabilizers, broadheads, shafts, inserts, etc.

It's all fun stuff though. Keep us posted on what you go with :)

Good advice here. With bows these days you really can’t go wrong with any of them. Comes down to what fits you. All you’ll get out of threads on the internet is guys telling you there now is the best ever. And it may be, for them.
