Ok, the contest is over. I need help picking the top 3 bucks and bulls.
I agree with Buckspy on the mass. Here's what I'm thinking, but want to know what you all think.

Notice I didn't go with a Canadian at 1 and 2. Gary's buck is incredible and that all that trash makes me like it more than Dean's. But Mass is where it's at and you just can't beat the mass of Jim's buck.
I haven't spent enough time looking at the elk to have a favorite yet.

Dean's deer is just a great typical. Gary's non-typ. is real good however. Sorry, I just feel Jim's deer is third.

I can't disagree with the elk picks.

Ok guys, Chad Harris has sent in a thumbs-up photo, so he is also in the contest. But, instead of just awarding the top 3, it'll be the top 4 bucks. I think the 3 that most of us have already agreed upon, and Chad's buck, should be the top 4. Just need to decided which are the most impressive bucks, which order.
I think bucks with extra mass and extra tines are more rare, but a super typical like Dean's is also very rare.

NOTE for next year: Photos need to be "field photos" with the thumbs-up, wouldn't you all agree? Or does it really matter?

i think the bucks we are judging deserve to have thier photos taken in thier home- where they were taken, it seems to do them more justice than on the floor of a dirty garage, or the back of a truck while the hunters wearing street clothes. the deer deserve to be pictured afield wearing camo is what the hunter should be doing- and smiling of course !!!!! all in all i cant put deans monster typical out of my mind, thats 1 smoking buck. just my 3 cents !!

#1 Paul Fallon and his smokepole bull. If you think the picture is good, wait till you see the kill shot in our New Elk Hunting Video due out this March. It has to be the best kill shot I've seen in quite some time.
#2 Andrea McPherson and her smile. Youth hunt,monster bull...It doesn't get much better than that.
#3 Micheal Bradfords heavy bull. I'd love to hear a mass measurement on this bull!

I agree with you Brian, My Muley has the rare characteristics of unbelievable Mass making this Deer # 1. (I know I am biased and I can't vote for myself.)
The other 3 Deer being considered are very impressive, if I had to choose between the other 3, I would probably go with this order:
Chad's
Dean's
Gary's

* I love non typical's like Gary and Chad's deer, it is tough to compare these racks to monster typicals like Dean's. I wish there were 2 catagories (Typical and Non typical). I could easily change my mind 10 times between the order of these Deer. My suggestion to you Brian is go with your 1rst pick. (Ha ha ha)
I will vote on the Elk later on this evening !

3) Gary Christensen (A dream buck but doesn't match the mass as Norlock's or Herron's. I still wouldn't be complaining if had taken it thought.)

1. Jim: The Mass is incredible right to the end of every point, the volume of bone on it's head is crazy.
2. Gary: I love non typicals this thing is awesome. doesn't have the mass of Jim's which is why it's #2. ( I'd give my left nut to shoot it though.)
3. Chad's score wise, it probably beats the other 2, but Chad isn't possing with his thumbs up. - It is enourmous though, and I'd probably give my remaining right nut to shoot it.)
