So they say Fanny and Freddie will each cost the tax payer 100 billion dollars to patch up.
I'm not against lending a hand but this is socialism on a large scale, and both parties are to blame. so is this a special situation with no other options or a new era of painless investing? I don't like it one bit but I'll admit it's complicated and important to the health of the economy, I just wonder if the short term joy justifies the long term damage from this kind of action.
