New Mex Tags

Hello,
First time for me at drawing a NM Non-resident deer tag. I already purchased my license and am wondering when New Mex mails out the tags?

They don't mail the deer tags..you can either buy them when you get to NM or probably pay for them on the internet and have them sent to you...not positive though..they charge your card after the draw and mail out all other species, but for deer they give you the option of purchasing the tag or not.. kind of a strange system.. I would think that they lose some $ doing it that way..

I'm pretty sure they mail you the light-brown carcass tag with the hunt info on it (unit, date, weapon, etc.)
then you have the option of buying the deer license (looks like a fishing license) over the counter. You need both to hunt.

tags should be arriving within the next few weeks

they are mailing tags, licenses, etc the first week of july according to the emails they sent to the successful applicants...

Be very, very, very careful with your NM tags. I swear they are printed on a plain old 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper colored yellow. Rain will ruin them in just a few seconds. Never seen such whimpy tags.
