New Mexico Unitt 36

I am going to New Mexico Unit 36 in January for the archery deer hunt and was hoping for some help, I have never been there before and won't be able to scout before hand, I am not looking for a monster I would just like to get my first archery deer, I have done some homework and have a couple of starting points but would love a couple more, any advise would be great, also any tips on tactics for the hunt, I am assuming spot and stalk will be the main method but any other suggestions would be great.

I have the same tag and have several maps. I have a couple strategies, I've only been to the area skiing before, but will arrive the 28th and scout 3 days before the hunt. You are welcome to send me a PM and I'll share what I know via telephone.

Heard pretty dismal reports from the rifle hunters, hoping the rut gets some bucks out and about.
