Here is what S C is doing tagging live coyotes and releasing them in several game units ANYONE killing a tagged one gets a lifetime license. I bet it will work on getting alot of those untagged one's dead. Utah should try this same program for a few years and see how it works,

3,800 when there were >200,000 General over the counter deer tags was no big deal.
Now, it is a big deal. especially since there really are no General tags left. They are all Limited entry.

How about instead of a lifetime license, give a limited entry tag. People would be out in force. Or something perhaps less controversial, give an extra point for the limited entry drawing.

How many ranches or big parcels of land were acquired by paying back taxes or by homesteading? Should the state ”eliminate” these people’s ownership because times have changed and it does not fit into the times we have? Or should the State honor their obligations? There are plenty of opportunities our grandparents were privileged to that we will never be privileged to. We will be privileged to things that our kids won’t be and they will have opportunities we will never get. Life isn’t fair. I just don’t understand why people are so adamant about taking away things they didn’t take advantage of themselves or have the opportunity to take part of.

I'll add this from an old guy who didn't take advantage of it when it was offered. Every time tags are reduced the obvious benefit of those who enrolled is enhanced considerably.

I would only object if it was the LL guys crying for reduced tags. There are a lot more factors affecting tags than LL.

I would not be surprised at all who leads the cry for tag cuts. I can see it on here every day.

I would suggest that many who don't agree with the proposed tags numbers don't agree with the mule deer plan and are looking for some utopia that doesn't exist. That can certainly be a point of discussion when the plan comes up for review next year.

If LL is the main factor for somebody not getting a tag then the battle is already lost.
