No Cabinet Post For Palin

Alaska said today Palin owed unpaid taxes on $18,000 she charged the state for per diem living in her own home rather than the governors house.

She also may be liable for the $21,000 in airline tickets for her kids she charged to the state, this would be legal if the kids were involved in official business. Palion claims they were but organizers of some of the events say they were surprised to see the uninvited children. so far officials say they probably won'y proceed in reviewing this though.

So Obama better not call on her to be on his cabinet, we've seen what happens if you pay your taxes before you're caught, doubtful she could slide by after being nailed. this is just too funny to ignore, she passed the test to be a republican US VP but couldn't be a meter reader on Obama's team. I love it.
 
If you would read the story a bit more instead of trying to bash every Republican you can, you would see that the state of Alaska said they will send her a revised W2. The only thing you read about the article was the headline as usual, must've missed this:

"At the time, Palin's office said the governor was entitled to the payments.

Alaska administration commissioner Annette Kreitzner told the Anchorage Daily News on Tuesday that the governor's office had asked the office to review the tax treatment of the per diem payments after questions about the funds were raised.

Kreitzner told the paper that following the review, the per diem payments will be treated as income and that a revised W-2 statement will be sent to the governor."

The governor asked for the review, the state made the mistake. The employer sends out W-2's to its employees. They are correcting THEIR mistake and sending her a revised W-2 statement.There is clearly no attempt to defraud or evade on Palin's part. Clearly her taxable income was under reported to her.

They couldn't get her on Brother-in-law-gate so now they made up a tax problem and released it to the media. The MSM is doing all in their power to make sure that Gov. Palin will ot be electable in 2012. I guess she scared them sh!tless.
 
Yeah, and so far in 30 days there's been more corruption and blatant law breaking in obaaamas cabinet picks than there was in the whole Republican party during Bush's eight years.
 
After what you republican fruitcakes did to this country how can you even have the guts to speak? blatant corruption, how about blatant destruction, Palin is a typical right winger, give me this and give me that, but get the government out of my way, she says with a wink.
 
OK you seem to have missed it, or more likely you want to ignore it. Daschle pulled his name out due to taxes he found he owed and paid without anyone telling him to. Palin had to be told to pay her taxes owed, that's just peachie how could you fault her right? Palin has taken her political carrer as far as it's going but I'd like to see if future republicans have a tax issue they have to pass the same test as a dem cabinet pick.

I know, it's different.

I don't think it is different but there are democrats still in congress who are under investigation who still chair committee's. If a Republican did that there would be a media witch hunt.

As for tax dodging that it is stupid who ever does. That is why I wouldn't have wanted Daschle to run HHS because if he is too stupid to hire an account to keep track of a few million bucks, I certainly don't want him in charge of trillions.

Just because you refuse to acknowledge the irony doesn't mean it isn't there. if Palin ever runs for office agian we'll see if it comes up, if it doesn't then you're right it was nothing.
 
The real irony here is that Palin has not even gotten a 1099 yet and she actually requested a review to make sure what she was doing was legal. Our new head of the IRS, on the other hand, knowingly evaded taxes for years and should be charged criminally just like you or I would be. Dude, I am not a major right winger and no way a Palin fan but I do value my integrity and honor as a man. How can people support politicians that are openly committing perjury and white collar crimes then allowed to hold high office? It sure seems that the new democrats in power are full of liars and cheats and I mean real criminal things like fraud.

Not all republicans, just the ones who nominated McBush and supported Palin as VP. if they hadn't been so stupid maybe we could have had a republican nominated that would have won and been better than Obama.
