North slope backpacking first week of July

Thinking of packing into hell hole lake with the kids. Anyone got opinions if the snow will be gone by then? Should I hit the South slope?

Possible scenarios:
1) a little patchy snow, but sloppy and wet (and higher than the usual crazy amount of mosquitoes)
2) still fair amount slushy snow (with lesser than normal amount of mosquitoes)

If we get some good streaks of hot weather, then maybe won’t be so bad. TBD.
Either way…I’d expect wet feet.
Not sure how much better the south slope would be other than possibly less snow but still quite wet (and more mosquitoes).
That’s my opinion.

You can check the traffic cam on the pass.
I'm sure you can do the trip and it will be worth it!
