Northern region question

Thinking about just buying one of the left over northern region tags. Does anyone know anything about the raft river mountains or anywhere else in Box Elder area. Need to hunt this year.

I know you will see lots of people and not a lot of deer. Pretty much anywhere up here you can be successful if you hunt hard.

Well BB, first you have to get your tag, they are going to sell out fast.

As far as the RR mountains, like was said, you will see lots of hunters, but that pretty much is true for most of the Northern area. The Rafts can be fun to hunt if you figure out where the other hunters will push the deer. It has a lot of private lands both on top and along the outer edges, so there are just a few main ways in. Wheelers will be on most of the avaliable roads/trails from day 1. But mid week, it will peter down. By then the bucks will be buried in the deep thick stuff, but can still be spoted.

The Grouse Mountains to the west are similar. Still, if you put in the effort, you can find your buck. Good luck on the tag!

Go up above Mantua, its not badarea also any of the west bench above perry or Willard can produce some decent bucks....
