I went to a little Taxidermy exhibition tonight- just some basic caping, scoring, and what entails basics of mounting and finishing. People brought some wild game and it was great ! I had to share pics of their food.

Bottom pic is some Pasties with cream cheese and deer burger inside. Very good . The BBQ Elk Meatballs were super too.

We uses to have one at CNCC in Rangely each year until the past few years. Was great to sample all the unique local game. Water Buffalo, wildebeest, wart hog, Stag, mountain lion, fish from across the waters. Awesome stuff!

It's kind of ironic but I guess you can go to a Taxidermy exhibition and get stuffed?

I had some food before I got there but still had to sample a few of these creations.

My Uncle was going and invited me to come along. It isn't a regular thing and not sure if he will have one again. I was impressed with a beautiful shoulder mount of a 194" typical his brother shot. The symmetry and height was beautiful. I would sure like to see a buck that pretty out hunting if I don't pull the hammer.
