......but some of the heaviest found this year. Left side was found in an small bare spot with 12-18" of snow all around. Tracks say the elk had been chewing on it. Weeks later, after the snow melted, the right side was some 60 yards away.

Steel prosthetic tips were made by the skull creator to replace those broken off or chewed from the left antler. The antlers can be removed from the skull in seconds by tilting the antlers in and lifting them off.

Sweet setup. Aside from the bases, I'm not sure I would have matched that one up just by looking at him. He's anything but symmetrical.
