My hope is drawing a controlled hunt might get easier since we'll have a lot less applicants for about 4 years, off to the bunkers filled with beer,pop tarts and porn you go. we'll do our best to make it through the evil Obama reign of terror.

Well arent you two a pair. Did either of you even follow the link? This article had nothing to do with right wingers, but rather the left wing thinking that Obama's advisers plan on using. I didnt see anything in reference to islamic extremists, which would be quite a bit different than Japanese terrorists. I think a pooh bear/star wars analogy is off the mark big time.

Just a generalization of the anti Obama rhetoric, I see 100 reasons life as we know it will cease to exist if Obama gets elected every day. we heard the same thing before Clinton, both times. yet here we are, sorry if I don't take every one of your stories serious enough to take notes.

Obama sucks, McCain sucks, niether one will cure or kill the nation. either way it's going to be fine.

No Piper - that is not the point, and most "simple thinking right wingers" feel that you are condescending to them when you use a children's story to relate politics to them. To me - a very highly educated and deep thinking "right winger" - it is nothing but left wing liberal arrogance, thinking they HAVE to resort to such stories to talk to the right wingers, because as they are left wing educated liberals they are far superior in intelligence. Give me a freaking break! I see this attitude daily and your comment just proves my point.

First off, if someone who is a supposed to be a national security adviser can't come up with a better analogy than Winnie the Pooh then he is not demonstrating that he is educated enough to hold the position. If he were on my staff, he better be prepared to cite more cases of international law and incidence to illustrate such a sophisticated debate as national security and better come to the table with a lot more than Winnie the Pooh as a "fundamental text". If one of my students were writing a paper about this and using Winnie the Pooh as a "fundamental text" they would have to do the paper over again and put some more serious thinking in to it. They could use it as a anecdote to begin their argument or to help summarize, but to read parts of it as Danzig did and base that as a "fundamental text" is just silly and condescending and he should be intellectualy taken to task for over-simplifying a sophisticated debate.

Oh - but wait, who did Danzig work for before???, Yeah - that's right Clinton - slick Willy himself! Yeah he had a great policy for national defense didn't he! In fact we might have heard about Winnie the Pooh and Star Wars a long time ago but the documents on Bill's desk kept getting stained and smudged.

I thought Obama was for change? If so, then how come he is filling his staff with the Clinton White House?

Star wars... that reminds me of the bush administrations obsession with spending one hundred billion plus dollars on that while they didn't pay any attention to terror before nine eleven, talk about great policy. The problem with the shallow right winger is when talking about the middle east, it goes like this "they hate us because were free" then if you say anything else the angry response is "we should just wipe those countrys off the map"
