Opening day buck

Here's a buck that I was able to kill on opening day of the early rifle. I wasn't able to do any real scouting, so my expectations weren't too high. We were happy to find this buck along with some others, two days before season. He was relocated the day before the opener with 6 other bucks. We couldn't turn him up opening morning. We saw a couple of his buddies, but not him. His luck ran out on the afternoon hunt. My buddy Craig found him and three others feeding higher up on the mountain. We closed into 270 yards and the rest is history. A decent buck, for a struggling unit. Thanks again, Nevada!

He's 25" wide. I'll score him sometime, but I'd guess that he's 160"ish. What do you guys think that he'll score?

Nice buck, with good symmetry. I think he'll go a little better than 160, but it is hard to judge his main beam at that angle...

I probably shouldn't advertise the unit. But its towards the center of the state. One of the easier to draw areas. My train of thought is to hunt a lot. I'd rather be hunting than collecting points.
