Opening Day Taker or Pass???

This here is the best buck I've found this year. Is he a taker for you this year with the tag you've got in your pocket?

Pretty buck. Hard to tell how much more he will grow. At the moment he is a good ways from 180. Looks like his right g-3 may still get a small split.

He looks impressive and yes I would shoot him with the tag I have this year. However I agree with
Tristate I think he’s got a ways to go to get in the 180s.
That’s the second time I’ve seen a buck with that glob hanging off his neck. What causes that?

Nice buck. Mature with good mass. Time will tell on the score, but score isn't #1 to me. I'd look around some but it is possible I would come back to him.
