i have the opportunity to possibly hunt elk in Oregon this year with residents however
1: when applying if not drawn what fees do they keep from your application fees.

2 : is there a map anywhere that shows 200 series boundary?s I can't seem to find anything online.

3: how is the elk hunting I'm guessing central area (I'm not sure what unit we may hunt)

Sorry I don't know much information about Oregon and it seems vague online. Thanks for any help

You will lose your license cost and point expense for putting in. By now, im sure it will be nearing 170.

Beyond that, not to be rude, google gmu boundaries for oregon. They also have them on their website.

With no points, and the cost of the tag, i would be very skeptical about going with any high level of hope.

Thanks for the reply I have looked at the gmu boundaries. What I'm confused with is the 200 series example 238x 238y etc. I've seen the different units 1-77 so where could I look at the 200 series or are the elk tags by the lower in number units ?

It's the brown line with the little magnifying glass. Click on the magnifying glass and type what you are looking for.

Elk are all 200. The x or y behind the number is just in that unit there are different hunts inside the unit.

the hunting in the central and east central part of the state is pretty good by most standards, not sure what your definition of good is though.

I assume you have some points , those and general hunting knowledge is about all that's required for OR elk hunting.
