Plague killing Yellowstone Cougars

I wonder if this will spread out to other states and whether climate change is related?

It’s been found in cougars in SW for long time, probably more common in the hotter climates. Unless this is a different strain It’s killed a few people from handling the infected cougars. I use to carry the things over my shoulders until I learned about this. Never skin them indoors and always where rubber gloves.

On a good note wolves can get it too, so let’s hope it spreads to them
