This is really going to make the start of a young guys life difficult. However, he did this to himself and I think the punishment is justified. At least this time a blatant poacher is getting the punishment that fit the crime. Stiff punishments like this it what it will take to prevent future poaching from him and others. Hopefully this is a wakeup call for this young guy and he changes his ways.

That "man" is ruining his own life over just a deer. If he cant follow the LAWS regarding shooting a deer, he prob doesnt follow other laws he doesnt agree with.
No sympathy for habitual offenders.

Even being stupid for poaching, he was dumb with his poached selection. That's the sorriest looking poached heads I've ever seen. Maybe the food in jail is quite good up there.

These types are morally deficient in one way or another.....like any other type of "predator," preying on those that cant defend themselves......

1st offense should result in a substantial set of penalties
2nd or 3rd offence should be a felony.

Their are way more poachers out there than I think we realize. I find at least one poached animal per hunt I go on.....almost without exception.


I would bet a few bucks, no pun intended, the actual numbers of poached animals is staggering.....compared to what we want to believe.
