Glad to hear it, as I’ve got a SW New Mexico elk tag in my pocket this year!

The ground has been very dry for months so it has been soaking it up. I hope it is a wet July and August.

Exactly Brian. We have gotten two inches where I live in the past week, and the ground is barely starting to show, aside from right after the storms. Is typically pretty dry the next morning. But, today, after a big storm yesterday evening, it is still soaked and saturated. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

Try this link below. You can look at historical weather and there's also a link to the weather forecast.

Mossback where you from?
East Mesa of Las Cruces. Its weird here. We were cruising Saturday evening, enjoying the rain. Some parts of town were completely dry, and others were flooded. My parents live on the West side of town, and have gotten very little. It tends to follow the Organ Mountains to us. Of course, it all flows into the Rio either way.

34 is looking good. Taking a trip in late august. Wife has a cow hunt 1st week in December.. haven’t been up there in about 10 years we’re excited. We’re currently in Angelfire NM, been here since the 6-25-22, this place has been getting hammered with rain every evening it’s very green.

NMPaul, wow that is a crazy change in weather! Not sure that much water is good for my archery antelope hunt but happy to see the moisture for NM

Hopefully 16e is getting some of the moisture. Have a youth tag that hopefully produces a 5 point

Be careful out there this year. In 2013 there were many stranded hunters, trucks washed down arroyos, mud slides and river crossing. Rough hunt. Lucky to get a small 5x6 late in the hunt. It was a rough hunt and we didn’t have the preliminary burn to deal with. Stay safe.
