YES/NO SOME HATE IT .....SOME LOVE IT ...
I do not want a recond, or a demo unit....needs to be water proof!!

If you want the Leica, which is great by all accounts, you can find it for just about that price new.

I was at the new Cabela's here in Boise yesterday and decided, while the optics "may" be better on the Leica, I'm more concerned about the optical quality on my bino's and spotter, so due to ergonomic advantages and my positive experiences with Nikon I'd choose the Monarch 1200. My only reservation is wether or not someone will come out with a reliable model that does the angle compensation. What I've heard so far on the Leupold and Bushnell's is that their generally not that reliable.
