New to the forum wondering about public land hunting near Cody. My sons and I hunted Wyoming for the first time last year and fell in love with the state. We hunted a private ranch near Thermopolis because we didnt know where else to go, we all got bucks but were a little dissapointed in the quality and number of animals for the price we paid. We want to try something different and were thinking about the Carter Mountain HMA or the Shoshone National Forest near the East Entrance to Yellowstone. Any advice or opinions would be most appreciated.
