Remington Model 7600 - pump (slide) rattles

I have a Remington Mdl 7600 pump. I cleaned it today because the slide action got really sticky and stiff. Cleaned the grease and muck out of the action and slides rails. The pump action is working perfectly now but the pump now rattles. It makes too much noise to hunt with. Any of you have any experience with what I'm experiencing? Anyone know how I can fix the rattle?

Should tighten up with a cartridge down the chamber. Have you done this? If not and you try please do in a safe manner.

Tail chaser, I tried loading it to see if that would stop the rattle, it didn't make any change. I was doing a little surfing on my problem and one post said a little heavy grease on the rails may stop the rattle. I kind of hate to do the grease since I think this was the cause of the stiffness in trying to eject a shell. I guess the only way to find out is to try.
