Road Conditions

I have hunted out west several times. I always have two spares and chains for front and rear. It has gotten pretty western sometimes but I have gotten stuck. Some of the hunt units describe how the roads become impassable if wet. Will chains not help. I have been in the Wyoming gumbo before and never had any problems. But I have saw pictures of people stuck in mud holes in relatively new vehicles. Just wondering if conditions have gotten worse because people try to plow thru a muddy spot. Trucks today are not designed to get thru muddy spots.

Chains do not do much in bentonite mud if it's really wet.
It becomes drilling mud, very viscous.
