Sage vs Forest

Just wondering what all you guys thought about hunting in sage vs thick forest and when they are right next to eachother? Been looking at a hunting area for this year as mine burnt up. Where do you guys tend to find the most deer?

I hunt the areas where they mix with eachother hasn't failed me yet but i prefer the more open stuff
