San Juan spot and stalk

Does anyone have any pointers for hunting bears on the San Juan unit spot and stalk? I saw a lot during the summer but not seeing as many as it gets colder.

Check the oak. If you find an area that has a lot of acorns, you'll find bears. They're harder to spot than when they're wandering around in the summer, but they're there.

Twabbis, How did your hunt go for yourself? I have enough points to draw that tag anytime and like to hear how you did on the San Juan.
