Check out ebay, my buddy just got a Varix I for about $150. Sometimes you can find pretty good deals, but not always, you just have to keep on looking.

I have a brand new Leupold, still in the box, etc that would be perfect for the 30.06. Shoot me an e-mail at [email protected], if you're interested. It's a Vari-X III 2.5-8 X 36mm, matte finished with duplex reticles.
