Growing up out West I've killed many elk and muledeer. I have never killed a whitetail and would like to. Due to my schedule I'll need to hunt past NOV 10th so units 1 through 6 would be the focus. I can't afford a guide so I'm just looking for suggestion on where to focus for access to public lands and a chance for a buck. Not trophy hunting just a good chance at seeing deer and taking home a whitetail buck. I hear it's good to focus on closed roads and clear cuts so unit's with these traits I guess would be good.
