New to the forum and we just got a 6A youth tag for any antlered deer. We also drew a youth elk tag for the same time. Any advice to where to start scouting for a teenager to begin? It’s a October tag so we’re excited to start our scouting adventure. Thanks

Maps, finding water, going to the unit every time u have free time, camping out.
You will meet other hunter doing the same thing scouting the same unit.

The AZGFD website has pretty useful general info in the Where to Hunt section. You mentioned that you also have a JR. elk tag at the same time, if the elk tag is also for 6A there is a very good JR camp for 6A & 5BS.
