Shinseki Returns

I found it refreshing that Gen Shinseki returned from retirement to become Obama's Veteran's affairs cabinet pick.

After the decorated war vet was pushed into retirement for heresy in telling the truth about the situation in Iraq and what was needed to fight the war it's great he's given the chance to serve again. I'm not sure I'm going to like much of Obama's " change " but stuff like this pleases me no end.

Might be a first step in the right direction for our returning vets to get a fair shake and the help they may need.

Agreed, I wondered if he was going to tap Honore, Shinseki, or Zinni for a cabinet position.

Any of the 3 are great choices to re-design and improve the VHA
system. I spoke with friends at the VA Miranda in Palo Alto and they are absolutely ecstatic by the choice.
